2028 coach

My name is Bella Samper and I am from Houston, Texas! I went to Klein Oak high school where I played lacrosse and tennis while playing for the travel team, Tenacity Texas and Texas state team. I went to Randolph-Macon College for undergraduate where I played lacrosse as an attacker and drawer. I finished with 132 points with 33 assists and 99 goals (so close!). I also ended my career with 56 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers. I played in every single game during my time at R-MC. Additionally, I was named ODAC All-Academic all four years, ODAC All-Tournament team my sophomore year, and All-ODAC second team selection my senior year. I graduated from R-MC in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

After graduation, I worked at Randolph-Macon as an Annual Giving and Athletic Fundraising specialist. I then moved to Charlottesville to begin my graduate studies program in Data Science at the University of Virginia School of Data Science. I have previously coached a middle school team and travel team in Texas. I also coached with the 2027s Yellow Jackets South team and assisted with Godwin’s High School team. I love the sport of lacrosse and helping others so, coaching is the best way to combine those!

In my free time, I enjoy keeping up with the world of sports data and just started working with UVA women’s lacrosse team to help them through data. Once I graduate in May from the School of Data Science, I hope to pursue a career in sports analytics.

I am so excited to join the CavLax family!
