Kate Elam

Kate was born February 6, 2002 and is the daughter of  Harry and Elizabeth Elam. She has one older brother, Wyatt, one older sister, Virginia, and one younger sister, Olivia. Her favorite athletes are Michael Phelps and Taylor Cummings. Kate enjoys hiking and kayaking in her free time.

Kate attended Virginia Episcopal School for first two years of high school before transferring to St. Anne’s-Belfield School. In her first season at STAB, she recorded 55 points off 42 goals and 13 assists, making her the second-highest scorer on the team. Kate captured back-to-back conference titles while at Virginia Episcopal School and earned a runner-up finish in the state as a sophomore. She played for Yellow Jackets South in 2018 and 2019, helping the team finish 9-4-3 and she was member of the Virginia National Team in 2019. Kate played for Storm Elite Club Lacrosse in 2017 and was awarded the Bishop Scholarship while at Virginia Episcopal School, which is awarded to one person in that grade that meets the set requirements for excellent grades.  Kate was also a cross country, basketball and swimming athlete as a freshman and sophomore.

Kate appeared in all 19 games for the Panthers and was fourth on the team with 32 points in the season. She ranked third on the team with 25 goals, including 10 free-position goals, ranked fifth on the team with seven assists, two ground balls and a draw control, and recorded three hat-tricks in the season, including a five-goal performance against Siena (2/18/22).
