coach

Katy is currently an undergraduate student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she is seeking degrees in English and Psychology. She also currently has two part-time roles as a lacrosse coach and an expeditions leader for her campus’ outdoor adventures program.

Katy grew up playing lacrosse outside of Atlanta, Georgia where she enjoyed several years on Hotlanta Lacrosse’s club team. She then moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee for high school where she attended the Baylor School and was the starting goalie for the women’s varsity lacrosse team for her first two years. During her time on the team, Katy was honored as a member of the Tennessee East All-Region team and led her team to two region titles and two state quarterfinal appearances. After a career ending injury, Katy joined the varsity rowing team and served as the assistant coach for Baylor’s middle school lacrosse team.

At UNC, Katy has been involved in a youth recreational lacrosse league and has worked as a goalie coach and middle school assistant coach for Ultimate Lacrosse for the past two years.

She is looking forward to her new role with CavLax and working with your athletes!
