Hi everyone! My name is Emma Whelan and I am currently a graduate student at UVA getting my PhD in Neuroscience. I was born and raised in Dublin Ireland, and only began playing lacrosse when I started College. I played lacrosse at UCD for 4years and captained the team in my 4th year, winning the domestic league and taking my team to the European National Club Championships in Belgium. 

 

In 2017, I was selected to the Irish Women's National team and represented Ireland in the Senior National Team Women's Lacrosse World Championships in the UK. I played in attack and scored my first international goal against Germany. I have since attended a number of international tournaments representing Ireland including Home Internationals in the UK. 

 

I am extremely excited to share my love of the sport and become part of the CavLax coaching team!
