for our players

Player Expectations

As CLE athletes, you are representatives of this club and ambassadors of the sport. We believe in the power of sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal development.

As members of the CLE Travel Team, you are expected to uphold these standards, which reflect the values and spirit of our teams. Committing to these principles will contribute to your personal development and the team’s success.

To achieve our collective and individual goals, we have set forth the following expectations for all our players:

Commitment to the Team

  • Attend Practices and Games: Your presence at all practices and games is crucial. Consistent attendance helps in building team chemistry and improving personal skills. If you must miss a session, please inform the coaches in advance.

Communication and Responsibility

  • Stay Informed: Be proactive in checking and responding to team communications, including emails and group messages. You are responsible for staying updated with team news, schedule changes, and other important announcements.

Respect and Sportsmanship

  • Respect for All: Display respect towards coaches, teammates, opponents, and officials at all times. Good sportsmanship is non-negotiable, whether in victory or defeat.
  • Teamwork: Embrace the spirit of teamwork. Support your teammates on and off the field, understanding that every player’s contribution is vital to the team's success.

Personal and Athletic Growth

  • Self-Improvement: Strive for personal improvement in both skills and fitness. Dedicate time to practice, be open to constructive feedback, and always aim to elevate your game.
  • Balancing Responsibilities: As student-athletes, balancing academics and sports is key. Prioritize your studies and manage your time effectively to excel in both areas.

Positive Attitude and Conduct

  • Maintain a Positive Attitude: Approach training, games, and team interactions with a positive attitude. A positive mindset is contagious and can uplift the entire team.
  • Adherence to Rules and Policies: Understand and adhere to all team and club rules, including those regarding conduct, uniforms, and equipment.

for our parents

Parent Policy

Welcome to the CLE Travel Team family! As we embark on an exciting season of growth and competition, it's crucial to establish clear expectations for our parents. Your support and understanding play a vital role in creating a positive and enriching environment for our young athletes.

Together, we can ensure a positive, supportive, and successful experience for everyone involved with the CLE Travel Team. Your cooperation and adherence to these guidelines are greatly appreciated.

Here’s what we expect from our CLE Travel Team parents:

Timely Communication

  • Support in Communication: We encourage parents to assist their daughters in maintaining clear and timely communication. Please ensure that they are reading and responding to emails promptly. This habit is key to staying informed about team updates, schedule changes, and other important information.

The 24-Hour Rule

  • Reflection Period: In the heat of the moment, emotions can run high, especially following games. To foster a respectful and constructive environment, we strongly encourage parents to wait 24 hours before voicing any concerns related to game situations. This period allows for reflection and a calmer approach to feedback or discussions.

Positive Sideline Behavior

  • Be Positive Fans: Our expectations of parent behavior at games are high. We ask that you be positive and supportive fans on the sidelines. Negative behavior can impact not only the team's morale but also your daughter's position on the team. We all play a part in creating an encouraging atmosphere for our athletes.

Open Communication with Coaches

  • Ask Questions: We welcome and value your questions. If you need clarity or have concerns, please feel free to reach out to our coaches. We only ask that you give them adequate time to respond with thoughtful solutions.
