Coach 2030

Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Jeffrey McKnight and his wife, Sarah, have built a vibrant family life with their four children: CJ, Jeff, Emma, and Grace. Their journey has taken them through South Carolina and back to Arizona before finally settling in Port Republic, Virginia, in 2013.

With a deep-seated passion for coaching, Jeffrey has guided his children and numerous athletes across various sports. However, it was in lacrosse that their family found their true calling. Their lacrosse journey began in 2018 and has since become integral to their lives. Leading the Rockingham Lacrosse Club Muddogs, a recreational and club team in Harrisonburg, Virginia, Jeffrey has been instrumental in growing the sport in The Valley, expanding from 32 athletes to 195 athletes and from 3 teams to 7 teams.

The McKnight family's involvement in lacrosse extends beyond coaching. Emma, a member of the class of 2027, and Grace, in the class of 2030, thrive as players in Cav Lax Elite and cherish every moment on the field. Meanwhile, CJ has committed to playing lacrosse at Bridgewater College, while Jeff participates in travel lacrosse with the 2025 Hammers Elite.

For Jeffrey, being a part of Cav Lax Elite is a privilege he deeply appreciates. He sees it as an opportunity to not only challenge and motivate athletes but also to inspire them and foster a sense of camaraderie and enjoyment in the sport they love.
