Maris Large

Coach 2028

Maris Large, a UVM lacrosse alum from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, discovered her passion for lacrosse in 6th grade. Throughout high school, she showcased her talent as a varsity lacrosse player for four consecutive years, ultimately earning the role of team captain during her senior year. Maris was pivotal in leading her team to their inaugural state championship appearance in 2018. Concurrently, she contributed her expertise to coaching younger teams at the Xtreme Lacrosse Club in Lancaster.


Continuing her lacrosse journey at the University of Vermont, Maris thrived as a four-year starting attacker. Her outstanding performance earned her recognition on the America East All-Rookie team in her freshman year, and she served as a two-time captain for the Catamounts. Maris was integral in securing her team's first-ever America East Conference championship title in 2022. Alongside her collegiate endeavors, Maris dedicated her time to coaching the 802 Lacrosse Club team in Burlington, Vermont, where she served as head coach for the 7th and 8th-grade teams for two years.


Maris's enduring love for lacrosse drives her enthusiasm to impart her knowledge and experience to future generations of laxers, fostering their growth and passion for the sport.
